Juventus host Real Madrid in the Champions League Quarter-final
The first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid and Juventus took place last night, on the 3rd of April 2018. The home team was shocked when Madrid tore them apart at Turin, with a victory for the Spanish giants. Many chances were created by the Italians to try and equalise, but they never got far. It was a tremendous victory for Real Madrid which possibly secured their place in the last four.

The game took place on the home grounds of Juventus, Turin, but this didn’t stop Real Madrid as they went in fully prepared. Juventus and Real Madrid were the two finalists in the UEFA Champions league 2017, in which Madrid reigned victoriously. This means that Real stands in the way of Juventus winning the champions league for the second year in a row. However, the Italians still have time to redeem themselves in the second leg of the quarter-final at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid took the UEFA Champions League trophy with a 4 – 1 victory against the Italians in the final of 2017. However, we hope they did not give up hope for this seasons league.
About the match against Real Madrid and Juventus
Real Madrid started the season off slacking, with quite a few losses. However, they are now the favourites to win the champions league final. The first leg quarter-final ended with a tremendous 3 – 0 victory for Real Madrid.
Two of the goals were scored by legendary Ronaldo, and one by the Brazilian defender, Marcelo. Cristian Ronaldo sealed Madrid’s win with a stunning overhead kick that left Buffon trembling in his boots.
